Hello all cat lovers, I have three cats, I bottle fed two of them from two weeks old along with their five siblings, when they were found after their mother had died, she was a very old non domestic yard cat.
As soon as possible I added a little chicken stock to their milk to help with strong bones.
The two I kept ( the others all went to loving homes ), Never ever had commercial cat food. I have found that it’s just as cheap if not cheaper and certainly more satisfying to me and the cats to buy and cook chicken, mincemeat ,beef, turkey etc. where I live I can buy a chicken for five euros, sometimes cheaper when they are on the reduced shelf, a pack of one kilo beef mince is seven euros. A can of supposedly ,’ good’ cat food is anywhere between two and three euros. I cook the chickens, pick off the meat, give the skin and bones to the crows , pack the meat in bags with a little stock and freeze ,this also means I have a supply of good stock in my kitchen and to use to cook minced meat on other days, this all sounds like a lot of work but it’s worth it to see my cats healthy and happy. Price wise at the end of the day, I think it’s cheaper than buying tins and biscuits. I do not add any extra vitamins , but must add that I live in the country and the cats lead a perfectly natural life and are out in the fields hunting at will. I would welcome any advice as to whether I should be adding any supplements to their diet.
Wishing you all long and happy relationships with your beautiful feline friends, I for one feel blessed that they are here to share my life, the world would be a poorer place without them.I thank this Vet for taking the time to help us all with this video.
I just want to know exactly what my cat is eating 😊
Suspect for recommending highly processed seed oil (sunflower oil) to feed any living being. Can that oil be replaced with olive oil?
Seed oils are bad
I’d cook with gravy for water
