Dr. Jones examines potential side effects, including digestive issues like vomiting and diarrhea, thyroid concerns, bladder stone complications, blood sugar spikes, and even neurological effects like epilepsy. My dog recently starting having straight diahrea for weeks. We just switched him to Dr. Harvey’s food from freshpet. The vet gave us a bag of purina hydrolyzed dog food to try out. He was also placed on metronidazole for 10 days. His poop got great again. We haven’t started the hydrolyzed food yet. The metronidazole was done this past Fri morn. He has straight diahrea again. We were really trying to avoid this hydrolyzed dog kibble . Vet said he’s thinking it’s irritable bowel syndrome. He was on chicken with Dr Harvey’s didn’t help. Any suggestions what to give him next instead of the hydrolyzed food? The diahrea was so bad he got very thin and boney. I already had his blood work done and health checked. It’s his belly. Thanks so much!
It would be great if there was Turkish language support for subtitles 🙁
My dog used this food for a few months. His body had improved, and even though the itching didn’t go away, we had to stop after that. It’s very expensive, and the conditions in Turkey are even more difficult. I don’t know what to do. Help me, Elizabeth. It makes me very sad to see him can’t get rid of his headgear.
There are dozens of non soy hydrolized protein food , it is meant mostly to find the protein that is making the immune response.
Your dog can become anaphylactic issues in proteins, coming from someone with a dog with a poultry allergy that started with itching and ended up breathing issues because i ignored it.
I used to love holistic approach and then ended up with a dog that had lymes , heart worms , and now renal issues after years of no chemicals made me rethink everything.
So what is the alternative to hydrolyzed dog food.My dog is so allergic to other dog food..
Please make a video on dog allergies! I have a French bulldog rescue. She has non stop itching, so I put a cone on her. Her folds barely have any hair on it now. She constantly tries to find a way to itch. I am cleaning her with chlorhexdine wipes, she has an antibiotic ointment prescribed, she’s been on allergy oral pills prescribed. Nothing seems to help. I don’t feed her chicken. I don’t know what to do she looks so uncomfortable! I just want the itching and the folds to get better.
